Located at 731 Central Parkway West in Mississauga (there is also a location in Vaughan), the place is a bit out of the way unless you are purposely going there. I have never really seen the place full of people, but maybe it’s because you have to be a little bit open and adventurous to go there. It’s also a take out place, so maybe people bring their orders home to their families instead of eat in.
Their menu looks like a regular grilled chicken menu until you order. Then you are offered a selection of sauces from garlic, mild, hot which your chicken will be cooked in. I got mild quarter chicken breast with a side of Peri-Peri fries. Nash ordered the hot sauce with a side of regular fries.
The peri-peri tossed fries had a kick to them. It resembled the Cajun spice that you can put on your fries at New York Fries. Peri Peri is a kind of red pepper found in Africa that is both rich in vitamins and flavour. The chicken sauces also had peri peri in it. I enjoyed my chicken, it was not too spicy, had a nice garlic taste and was very juicy. Much unlike Swiss Chalet where you get dry chicken you must drench in chalet sauce. Galito’s chicken was quite delicious on it’s own.
