My First Slow Cooker

DSCF6646

According to the Toronto Star, I’m an adult now. I bought a slow cooker and am really excited about it. I opted for a larger 6.5 quart programmable slow cooker because it’s the easiest for following online recipes. Plus, I can fit an entire chicken in it, which I totally did the day I got it.

Now I can come home to a cooked meal and waste less of my life preparing meals. It’s comforting to come home to the smell of food.

New Cutting Board

I never thought about getting a new cutting board until I saw this adorable one at Kitchen Stuff Plus.

The board comes with four mats that can be used on top to keep the board itself clean and avoid cross-contamination. This one has a board for vegetables, poultry, fish and other meats.

I love the simple colourful design.

Mrs Food Face

I finally found the matching plate to my Mr Food Face in store! Again this wonderful invention is by Fred and Friends. I have no affiliation with them whatsoever. I’m just obsessed with their products and have been looking for them at my local Winners, Marshalls or random discount brand stores!

The major difference between the two is that Mrs Food Face has eye lashes. Now we can have adorable creations in both genders!

Wake-Up Mug

IMG_3568Another addition to my Fred and Friends collection is this Wake-Up Mug.

With cold liquid the face starts off pretty groggy. Pretty much your typical (Monday) morning…

Once you add a coffee, the eyes widen and become more alive! Just like a person in real life.

I currently have a mug obessesion. Mostly because I broke all my normal mugs and thought I’d be more careful with novelty ones.

Time will only tell…

Food Face

This adorable Food Face plate is also from Fred and Friends. There’s a Mrs. Food Face too but I couldn’t find it at Marshalls.
IMG_1237I thought the idea of creating faces with food was so adorable that I couldn’t resist. I am a 5 year old kid at heart.
IMG_1234The ceramic plate has a simple face with no hair, allowing you to play with your food and create your own characters.
Here are a few of my own creations:

Russian Doll Measuring Cups

IMG_1218

I found these adorable Russian Doll measuring Cups at Marshalls last weekend! They are originally from the official Fred & Friends website where I want to buy all the things.

IMG_1222

There are three dolls included. The top and the bottom half of the doll have different measurements in cup sizes.

The number is indicated on the inside and include: 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup, 3/4 cup, 1/3 cup 2/3 cup and 1 cup.
