Last weekend’s flight to Rouyn-Noranda was on a 10-person private plane. I had never been on one before and it was slightly frightening to feel every little movement of the plane.
Rouyn-Noranda is a copper mining town in southwestern Quebec. It is surrounded by Osisko Lake and the town has free bike rentals if you want to bike around it.
This was the lovely press mansion where we picked up passes, had a party and also drank copious amounts of alcohol.

The weather was gorgeous so we headed to Kariya Park to see if we could catch the cherry blossom trees in bloom. It’s a lovely little spot in the core honouring the twin city relationship with Kariya, Japan. We were probably a week early because not all the trees bloomed yet but still managed to snap some colourful photos.
The next morning me and dad woke up extra early to catch the sunrise. It was cloudy but the result was a sky of beautiful colours. Don’t these almost look like paintings?
Then we headed down to the Horizon Court and had breakfast. I enjoyed the eggs benedict among other things including American bacon. Canadian bacon is so much tastier.
Shortly after we disembarked onto smaller boats that took us to the Princess Cruises owned Princess Cays.

It snowed last week and on Saturday the sky was so nice and blue that me and dad decided to go exploring for interesting things to shoot in Mississauga.
