I finally found a Sailor Moon & Luna Funko Pop in Mississauga. I’ve seen the rest of the Sailor Scouts in stores across Toronto but I didn’t want to start a collection without Sailor Moon.

Look how cute she is next to some of my nano block sets!

I’m waiting for the ferry at Camp Wavelength and I will always find this sight beautiful.

We’re relaxing up North and watching the Olympics. I’m proud to be Canadian and it’s super inspiring and exciting to see that our women are currently owning the medal count.
Despite this, the media has a long way to go when covering the success of women and the commentators are often cringe worthy. Instead of talking about their hard work training to get where they are, comments focus too much on trivial things.
We still have a long way to go in terms of equality but I’ll be cheering on the country, especially our girls!
You’re probably already sick and tired of hearing about the Taylor Swift/Kim Kardashian feud. I’m not really here to talk about the specifics of the feud but as the whole thing descended down, there was one critical point that kept being made.
People called it anti-feminist for Kim to attack Taylor or for any girls to critique this whole situation. That I do find problematic.
Feminism does not mean women have to like all other women. It is the freedom to decide for ourselves who we like. Think Drake and Meek Mills’ fight. Nobody labelled it anything more than a feud.
Feminism is fighting for the same equality as men. It is not posting photos with exclusive celebrities and hashtagging it #squadgoals, who typically are the type of people who bully me in highschool. It is using your platform to speak up for those who can’t.
Feminism is not posing for photos with your beautiful girlfriends. It’s not something to be used as a personal brand. A fight for equal rights is never that easy.

The past week, I cleansed a lot of my social media feeds. First, it started with all the people who failed to see that Black Lives Matter’s sit-in on the parade was important. They failed to hear their fears of the police, using the argument of “exclusion”.
BLM weren’t saying that LGBTQ police officers weren’t allowed to march. They merely didn’t want armed, uniformed officers promoting an institution that often makes them feel unsafe. If you back at Pride’s history, it was originally founded on protests, not the colourful corporate thing it is today.
As honoured guests at the parade, I believe that BLM’s message deserved to be heard. Are honoured guests supposed to be complacent and be token eye candy? Exclusion is not a great argument regardless because is exclusion for one day bigger than lives eliminated forever? Police officers are an entity that if individual officers aren’t deciding to question the system, the deaths than they are just as complacent in letting it happen.
If you’re reading what’s happening in the USA and still don’t get what BLM was protesting for, maybe just keep silent and educate yourself. I for one stand as an ally to my friends and POC.

It’s been a while since I updated the look of this blog. I got comfortable with what I had. My previous layout was a customized version of Forever, a wedding theme.
I think I outgrew it a little over the past 6 months, but I could never find the next look, one that fit me and didn’t require featured images (because it would require a lot of back-work). Finally, I chose a premium theme (I am still a part of the WordPress.com) community and also upgraded to a premium plan, as I was finally reaching the 3GB limit after 5 years.
My blog tends to be very image heavy and this theme lends itself well to it! Scroll down and look at some of the posts below with full-sized images.
Welcome to the new look of my daily journal!

Today we finally heard the verdict on a case where 23 women came forward against a popular media personality. Only 3 testified in court. He was found not guilty.
Throughout the trial, it was never questioned whether the assaults happened. Rather, the victim’s credibility was put on trial. There was even video evidence that violence of some sort of occurred, and that was the ain reason he was fired from his profession. Somehow, whether or not this violence was consent was the main topic during the trial.
It was concluded that he could not possibly be guilty because the victims changed their stories and that they contacted him after the fact. But it is proven in domestic violence cases and sex trafficking that the abused often fall for their abusers. That doesn’t mean it’s right.
It’s no wonder that 20 people didn’t bother to testify, but I believe all of them.
My friends and I will always find the photo booths everywhere we go. Printed photos still find a special place in my heart (or all over my work desk). I even ordered another set of 36 Instagram prints from Origrami. There’s something magical about having candid shots of life to look at in physical form that has more emotional impact than stalking your own Facebook photos.
Photo booths on location are even more fun because they remind me of the random event I was at, so I will continue finding them.

I was at Toys R Us not too long ago. I like to go there to relax (yes, I’m weird). Anyways, I walked past this aisle full of dinosaur heads. Someone tell me why are these a thing? Are they so popular that you need an aisle full? I guess this 28 year old will never know.
