SNP Panda Brightening Mask

These masks from SNP actually have animal prints on them. The panda ones for brightening. Note: the original packaging says “Whitening”, but in reality it is I think just a poor translation and does not actually whiten skin. What they usually mean is brightening.

The mask was hilarious on my face! It was also dripping (literally!) with tons of serum so I rubbed it all over my neck and hands as well. It felt cooling on my skin and left me with a nice glow and smaller pores after 20 minutes.

Dollar Shave Club

I’m now a member of Dollar Shave Club because I was just too lazy to go buy razors and I ran out. It’s super affordable too. The prices start from $3.50/month to $9.50/month depending on the type of razors you choose. If you’re not so hairy you can sign up to receive packages every two months.

Every month you conveniently get 4 replacement blades in the mail. The first month comes with a free handle. I chose the middle razor package which was $6.50 a month since it had more blades for a close shave than the cheaper one, which had two.

I loved it. It felt just like any other $14 razor. I’m never paying the premium price for pink razors again.

NYX Butt “Naked” Pallet

I had a gift card to NYX so I picked up this pallet from NYX.

It has 15 beautiful neutral eyeshadow colours that are appropriate for work. It’s funny because I have probably like 300 eyeshadows, but most of them are way too dramatic to wear in the workplace. I like these colours because they’re good for every occasion and also don’t fade too much throughout the day.

The bottom layer is blush, bronzer and highlighter. This is only like $22 which is an awesome bargain for this useful set.

Essence I <3 Stage Eyeshadow Base

I love the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer, but it’s too expensive to use every day. I can’t believe Essence sells one for only $3!

Quality-wise, it makes eyeshadow colours look more vivid and lasts longer than it would without a primer. I also use it as a lip primer for the darker colours. $3 is quite the steal for this.

Essence: How to Make Brows Wow

I can’t believe how cheap Essence line up of make up is. This brow set was only $9.99.

Though I didn’t need it, it came with brow powder for all types of brows! Honestly, I’ll only use the dark and “light it up” shade, but it still cost less than any premium brow powder at Sephora. It also comes with small tweezers and a brush.

I didn’t really like the brush to be honest. I found the angled end a little bit too big so it was unhelpful for shaping brows. However, when I used my own brushes, I found the shade lasted all day, so this was definitely worth the purchase.

NYX Studio Liquid Eyeliner

I love colourful eyeliner, so I couldn’t resist picking up some NYX Studio Liquid liners in blue and purple.

Here’s a quick swatch of the colours. They are super long wearing. In fact, I couldn’t get the swatches off with regular water! Excited to try these out along with the pink one I got from my Kira Kira Crate.

I’ve been on a bit of a makeup binge lately. My makeup corner is my relaxing zone and I love thinking up creative looks and feeling encouraged to leave the house. I’m getting confident enough to wear more bold colours too.

Make Up Brush Scrubber

Since I am obsessed with all sorts of colourful make up lately, it’s important to keep my brushes clean so that the colours don’t mix.

One of my the best tools for cleaning, is this heart-shaped brush thing I got from Amazon. It has grooves suitable for cleaning every kind of brush, whether it is giant blush ones or tiny eyeliner sticks.

I like to use Baby Shampoo for my brushes. If it’s gentle enough for baby hair, it is good enough for my brushes. It is also a fraction of the price of branded brush shampoo, so I can use it frequently.

Kira Kira Crate- February 2017

Last month, I was sent a free Kira Kira crate for review. It arrived at the end of the month.  They asked me in January, but I didn’t get anything for a while so I assumed they just forgot to send me one!

The theme of February was Chocolate Strawberry for Valentine’s Day, so there were many items within that theme.

This bright pink liquid eyeliner from BWPRM was super vivid. I have been obsessed with bright eyeliners, so this is one to add to my collection.

This 5LANC bottled face serum comes in a generous amount. It’s like a luxurious drink for your face, keeping it moisturized without feeling greasy. I tried to Google where I could possibly buy this when it runs out but it is difficult for someone who doesn’t know Japanese!

I loved this YAKUYOUBURO: Fatigue citrus ginger bath soak. It was so relaxing and felt good on my muscles.

A PGT 4 Color Nuance palette provided a nice neutral look good for the office and more natural days.

I don’t really know what gold does for the skin, but this Pure Smile mask gave me a nice dewy look for days.

This chocolate strawberry lip balm was as delicious as the name suggests.

Last but not least was this delicious Banana Chocolate lip mask, which I’m saving for super chapped times.

I loved all my Kira Kira Crate products. I’m waiting for my makeup pile to dwindle down a bit, but I will totally be a future subscriber!

Tony Moly Blur BB

I don’t wear a lot of foundation, or any really but recently  I picked up this Tony Moly Blur BB.

The container was cute and it wasn’t too expensive.

The product itself I think only came in one colour. It was a sheer coverage. It covered most of my red spots without looking like I had any make up on. I love it. I feel like if you have any acne, or serious skin problems, it wouldn’t be the right product for you, but for gentle coverage it is perfect.

Tony Moly Nose Pack

I was at Tony Moly recently, so I picked up some nose strips! I always have tons of blackheads on my nose.

There were 5 individually wrapped strips in each pack. These ones were made out of egg essence.

The nose strips were pretty small, and fit around the nose and the skin near it.

I have a pretty flat and odd shaped nose. I found that it didn’t always adhere to all the contours, so it missed some spots in terms of coverage.

I left it on for 30 minutes and it definitely made my nose smoother, but I felt that it didn’t clean as many blackheads as I wanted. Maybe I just have so many I have to do this multiple times!
