Pokemon x Tony Moly Sheet Masks

I have a lot of the Tony Moly x Pokémon collection, but I couldn’t resist getting one of each of the sheet masks. They’re limited edition, but still available on Amazon.

I used the Charmander one recently. It took me for a while to actually use one because the packaging is so cute! The sheet mask itself unfortunately does not actually have a Charmander head (that would be funny though).

It had the pleasant citrus smell of grapefruit and did noticeably brighten up my skin right after. I haven’t tried the rest, but I’m looking forward to it as I follow this year’s resolution of using things up!

Tony Moly Blur BB

I don’t wear a lot of foundation, or any really but recently  I picked up this Tony Moly Blur BB.

The container was cute and it wasn’t too expensive.

The product itself I think only came in one colour. It was a sheer coverage. It covered most of my red spots without looking like I had any make up on. I love it. I feel like if you have any acne, or serious skin problems, it wouldn’t be the right product for you, but for gentle coverage it is perfect.

Tony Moly Nose Pack

I was at Tony Moly recently, so I picked up some nose strips! I always have tons of blackheads on my nose.

There were 5 individually wrapped strips in each pack. These ones were made out of egg essence.

The nose strips were pretty small, and fit around the nose and the skin near it.

I have a pretty flat and odd shaped nose. I found that it didn’t always adhere to all the contours, so it missed some spots in terms of coverage.

I left it on for 30 minutes and it definitely made my nose smoother, but I felt that it didn’t clean as many blackheads as I wanted. Maybe I just have so many I have to do this multiple times!

Tony Moly- Egg Pore Shiny Skin Soap

IMG_9185My latest addition to my Tony Moly collection is this Egg Pore Shiny Skin soap. These came in an adorable egg-carton like package.

The eggs come in white and brown. The white is for day and the brown is for night. There aren’t English instructions on the package and searching online has a few variation of uses. You can use these as normal face soaps (just lather and rinse). However, I like to use them like a mask. I lather and leave them on for 10-15 minutes before washing off. The brown one is a bit stronger so it doesn’t need to be left on as long.

IMG_9191After using them for a month, I have noticed that my pores are a bit smaller, and my skin looks smoother. The soaps are not recommended for sensitive skin as they can be very drying at first. A good moisturiser after washing is a must.

When I first started using these, I broke out a little bit, but that is a result of all the deep dirt coming to the surface. After a while, my skin is looking great. The soaps look like they will last a long time too.

Tony Moly Appletox Honey Cream

IMG_6818
As you know, I’ve been obsessed with the Tony Moly store recently because of their adorable packaging and affordable prices. I recently picked up this moisturiser which came in a container shaped as an apple. It doesn’t have much branding on the outside or much information other than a sticker in Korean at the bottom.

IMG_6819Inside, the cover of the cream did say Tony Moly. It also came with a tiny spatula to prevent contamination of the product by dirty fingers.

IMG_6821The cream itself was yellow, and had a fresh apple smell, which I really enjoy. Upon doing some research, I found out it’s an AHA moisturiser, meaning it also exfoliates the skin. At the time of purchase, I had a giant pimple, but now it is gone and no new ones have appeared since using this product. It does a lovely job of keeping my skin smooth and minimalising wrinkles. A little goes a long way with this cream. I usually just dip the spatula (without scooping) and use what it catches for my face. It will probably last me for a couple of months even if I use it every day.

What other cute cosmetic products do you guys have in your collection? I’d love to know!

First Impressions: Tony Moly Latte Art Milk- Cacao Pore Pack

IMG_2613

As you may know from previous posts, I’ve been obsessed with Asian beauty products because of their adorable design and affordable prices. Plus, Asian people never seem to age so they must work right? Recently, I picked up this Cacao Pore Mask thing from Tony Moly. It came in an adorable mug shaped container!

The product inside was multi-coloured and reminded me of the chocolate and vanilla soft serve mix from ice-cream trucks. It smelled like chocolate and Baileys Irish Cream.

The directions said it had to all be mixed together before using. After mixing, it turned into a greyish brown. The mask is to be applied and left on for 10-15 minute before washing off. When I applied it there was a tingling and almost burning sensation for the first minute or so but it went away. I could feel my pores tightening and within 10 minutes, the mask was fully dry.

After I washed it off, my face was soft and smooth. I felt like it also lightened my skin and hid the redness that I usually have on my cheeks as well as temporarily hid my pores. Not bad for a product that was only $10! You can watch my live first impressions on Youtube. My favourite part was its chocolatey smell that was good enough to eat.

TONYMOLY Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub

IMG_0670
I rarely post about products (unless they are social media or internet obtained), but lately I’ve had an obsession with Asian beauty products because of their adorable designs. In addition, they are super affordable. This lip scrub from Tony Moly comes in a lip shaped container.

The cream itself is white with little sand-like beads. There weren’t really any English instructions, or room for any, (since there wasn’t a box) so I figured it out by reading other people’s reviews of the product. I took a tiny amount and rubbed it on my lips for a minute or two and felt the granules rubbing off the dead skin. It didn’t hurt or anything. After washing it off, my lips felt much smoother!

I recommend this product for dry lips, or any one who is a chronic lip biter (like me). It makes lip stick and glosses last much longer the next day too.
