Tony Moly Blur BB

I don’t wear a lot of foundation, or any really but recently  I picked up this Tony Moly Blur BB.

The container was cute and it wasn’t too expensive.

The product itself I think only came in one colour. It was a sheer coverage. It covered most of my red spots without looking like I had any make up on. I love it. I feel like if you have any acne, or serious skin problems, it wouldn’t be the right product for you, but for gentle coverage it is perfect.

NYX Suede Cream Lip Vault

My sister bought me the Liquid Suede Vault from NYX for my birthday. It features 24 liquid lipsticks in tons of fun colours. There’s one that is a bit more tame, but I was looking for fun colours I didn’t already have.

Here’s the swatch test! They appear super bright and vivid just like the bottle. It also took a bit of washing to get these off my arm, so they are definitely long wearing.

I wore a vibrant red to a wedding over the weekend and it lasted through coffee and a meal before needing to replay a little bit. I love the purples and I can’t wait to find an excuse to wear it!

Sephora Nude Lip Favourites

dscf4804

I bought this Sephora Nude Lip favourites kit recently to have lip colours that are more appropriate for everyday/work. I love funky colours, but I think people would think I was weird.

dscf4805

These all came in an adorable shaped box:

– Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Honeycomb (beige nude)
–  Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in White Russian (nude)
–  Estée Edit The Barest Contour lip Liner in 05 In The Buff (satin nude)
– Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Lip Crème in 246 Slow Burn (creamy nude rose)
– Too Faced Cosmetics Melted Matte Liquified Matte Long Wear Lipstick in Queen B (matte soft mauve)
–  Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in 1993 Comfort Matte (medium brown)

A few of these are too light and make me look like I’m dying. However, they make a great base colour for using bold eyeshadows as lip sticks (ex purples, greens etc).

My current addiction is lip colours. I used to be afraid of using them up, but now I have so many there’s no excused NOT to use them!

Sephora Birthday Gift 2017

dscf4799

My birthday is coming up so couldn’t resist ordering some stuff from Sephora so I could get my birthday gift. I thought this year’s choices were pretty cool. I chose the Tarte set that came with a nude lip gloss and blush.

Guerlain Black Lashdress Mascara

dscf4809

I compulsively bought this Guerlain mascara because the wand was cute.

dscf4812

I feel like I can transform into a Sailor Scout if I yelled “Mercury Star Power!” or something.

dscf4813

The wand itself has a dress-like shape. It makes it easy to get every lash, including the bottom ones. I like that the mascara was not clumpy, it’s super light so I forget I’m wearing it. It’s good for volume and lengthening. It holds my curl too (but I do use a lash curler). It also has a weirdly pleasant smell, which I haven’t really noticed before in a mascara. I would definitely buy this again!

Influenster x Bite

dscf4752

Influenster recently sent me their Bite Voxbox for review. In it were two lipstick samples and matching lip pencils to go with it.

dscf4792

The lip stick colours were Honeycomb, a nude and a darker brown called Whiskey. They both went on very smoothly and the pencils were super sharp to create a fine lip line. I was a bit shaky so I had to do it a couple of times. I love the dark one for a goth look.

Beauty By Earth Lip Balm

dscf4502

Winter means my lips can get super dry and that doesn’t make putting on lipstick easy! I have a lot of EOS lip balms but they never really work that well so I wanted to find some Beeswax Lip Balm.

I found this set of 4 Beauty By Earth Peppermint flavoured Beeswax Lip Balms on Amazon for only $10. That’s like half the price of Burts Bees.

dscf4504

The packaging is very simple and so are the ingredients. Nothing sounded weird and mysterious. The balm itself has a nice tingling mint sensation and keeps my lips moisturized without feeling greasy.

I love discovering new brands with affordable prices online!

Boxing Day Sephora Haul

dscf4693

For Boxing Day, I ordered two lip sets (Urban Decay’s Vice & Smashbox’s Light It Up) at Sephora and got a bunch of free stuff. I got a sample NARS Lip pencil, BROWFOOD and more.

dscf4694

Smashbox’s set came with 5 glittery lip glosses and a container that I can use for storage (after I took out the plastic display).

dscf4696

Urban Decay’s Vice palette came with beautiful bright colours, though I’m not sure when I would ever use a green lipgloss. I think it may be cool to use as a bright eyeshadow!

I’m excited to play around with more lip colours. I only recently got into lip makeup. I always thought that I couldn’t pull of bright colours or I ate too frequently and would have to reapply it often. I want to be the type of person who can be confident wearing any colour.

SHANY Persian Blue

dscf4282

I’ve always wanted to try a dark coloured lip stick so I picked Shany’s Persian Blue on Amazon. It looked super dark in the tube.

I think my lips are dark and probably require some concealer before bright colours because it turned out more purple. I think I still look beauty goth though!

Cyber Monday Beauty Splurges

Ok, I am totally the worst for spending too much on make-up lately. I couldn’t resist grabbing some of Sephora’s holiday kits on Cyber Monday. Plus, they had 4 free sample bags to choose from with purchases over $25 (but let’s be real everything at Sephora is more than $25).

I grabbed The Best Bite Redux, a collection of 4 lip crayons and Smash Box’s Try It Kit. They were both awesome deals with products worth more than the set cost. Plus, I got I chose the Sephora Day-of-Soirée Swag Sample Bag which had perfumes, masks and creams for staying young!

Now off to decide my holiday party face for tonight!
