Tonymoly x Pokemon Pikachu Mini Cover Cushion

When I want light coverage lately, I’m loving my Pikachu Mini Cover Cushion. It goes on light to hide imperfections but makes it look like it is still my skin.

The packing is super cute. The cushion applicator is a Pokéball and the front is a smiling Pikachu.

The best products are both cute and functional!

Sudbury Ribfest

We happened to be in Sudbury during Ribfest, so we got a half rack from Boss Hog’s BBQ.

Over there, a half-rack is generous, so we were too full after sharing this to try anything else.

We also had some Pappy’s Olde Fashioned Soda. I liked the grape and orange flavours. Butter beer was a bit too sweet. It tasted like butterscotch!

Photos from Up North

I spent the long weekend up in Northern Ontario. It was lovely to be out of the city (especially during the airshow) and to feel unrushed.

We stayed with Nash’s parents in his hometown of Espanola.

We also travelled to nearby places like Manitoulin Island:

Mclean Mountain peak:

Whitefish Falls:

I liked being surrounded by greenery. I’m back in the city now but I feel refreshed.

I Saw the Big Nickel

I saw a giant nickel #bignickel #sudbury

As you know, I was up north on the weekend. Any time I mentioned Nash’s parents live in a town near Sudbury, everybody always asked if I’ve ever been to the Big Nickel. Now I can finally say I have!

The nickel has overlooked Sudbury since 1964. Sudbury was originally established as a mining town where nickel played a big role.
It was modelled after the 1951 Canadian nickel with King George.

Science North

Yesterday, I went to Science North in Sudbury. There were a lot of animals and other fun contraptions. Here are some photos of my adventure:

This doesn’t seem to work:

We weren’t very good at putting this back together:

Supporting Local: Italian-American Dinner @ Sugo

Sugo is a relatively new Italian-eatery in our neighbourhood near Bloor & Lansdowne. The atmosphere is very casual and inviting for families, something that is still a bit lacking in the area. They feature a lot of Italian-American classics like pasta and parm sandwiches and focus on the importance of good sauce.

I had the Rigatoni (pictured above) which was a pink sauce that had a spicy kick with grana padano cheese. It took a while to get the pasta, but it was totally worth the wait. The sauce was so good I wanted to lick my plate.

Nash had the Veal Sandwich with a super stretchy muzzarella and a generous amount of sauce.

I also couldn’t resist mozzarella sticks with marina sauce.

To drink I had a Americano Cocktail: Campari, Vermouth Rosso, Soda.

Nash had the classic Manhattan: Rye, Vermouth Rosso, bitters, cherry.

What I loved about Sugo was that it was good quality food without breaking the bank. Our bill was around $50, which is a decent price for both dinner and drinks. Welcome to the neighbourhood Sugo!

Glossier Cloud Paint

I did a Glossier order recently and one of the things I grabbed was the Cloud Paint in Haze. It is the darkest colour of the collection.

It’s a liquid blush. I’m always skeptical of them because they could potentially make me look like a clown.

This, however, blended easily. It’s also buildable so when the first layer dries a bit, you can add a bit more colour.

I love this because it actually mixes well with the redness I normally have on my cheeks and use them to my advantage instead. A little goes a long way in this little tube, but I would totally buy this again when I run out.
