New Camera Backpack!

IMG_7283
I bought myself a new camera backpack from Johansen Camera Bags. All the bags on their website are super cute and fashionable, just what I was looking for in a camera bag.

IMG_7286
What I love most about it is that it doesn’t scream camera bag like some of the ones you see at Henry’s or Vistek. There’s even a section for a laptop that fits my Mac Air perfectly. Now I can look good while carrying all my precious gear on location.

Adventure Time SOCKS!

IMG_4147

I saw these Adventure Time socks at Hot Topic and I couldn’t resist getting them!

The pack came with 5 pairs with different characters: Jake, Gunter, Lumpy Space Princess, BMO and Finn. Now I can inject a little more fun into my daily routine.

Hello Kitty x The Simpsons

IMG_3550
Ever since I first saw someone where this poncho sweater thing on an American friend’s Instagram, I wanted it badly! I found out that it was an exclusive piece from Japan LA.

It is part of an official collaboration between Hello Kitty and The Simpsons. I couldn’t get over how adorable the chibi versions of the Simpsons’ cast were.

IMG_3549

The poncho is one size-fits all and despite being loose is a shape that works with all bodies. It’s also super soft and comfy!

IMG_3544

It’s seriously one of my favourite new wardrobe pieces!

Adventure Time x Dr. Martens

IMG_3521

I couldn’t resist getting these awesome Adventure Time Dr. Martens. I believe they are Men’s sizes, so I sized down one when I bought one to a Size 6. There are three designs in total so far but I found this particular one the most practical, and somehow the least likely to clash with outfits.

IMG_3523

Adventure Time teamed up with Dr. Martens for their “What do I stand for?” campaign. There’s a video for it on their official website that is adorable.

IMG_3526

Apparently some of the designs only have around 1400 pairs worldwide. So these could be a totally exclusive and limited pair. Many of the adult sizes are already sold out in store and online.

IMG_3533

I’ve been thinking about them since I saw the first announcement and I totally have no regrets about buying them!

Can You Tell I Dyed My Hair?

IMG_1110
Yesterday I bought a box of L’Oreal Superior Preference Noir Fatal hair colour in a deep plum colour (NF03). It was essentially a black colour that was supposed to show highlights of dark purple.

IMG_1113
Here’s a photo after I dyed my hair. Can you tell the difference?

There isn’t really much difference. It was a darker colour on my hair so it coloured my lighter ends. However the shine ended up being more red than purple. My hunt for a purple highlight colour continues!

Chocolate Cookie Necklace from Tiny Hands

IMG_7904

I stumbled on food jewellery site Tiny Hands a while ago but I finally ordered my first piece. A chocolate cookie necklace!

IMG_7900

It arrived after a week and a half in a beautifully packaged box.

IMG_7905

All the jewellery on the website is handmade. They are also scented (unscented available too). It smells like a delicious baked good. Whenever I wear it, I get a waft of it every so often and it makes me crave cookies.

It’s definitely a unique addition to my accessories. Now I need to stop myself from ordering the entire site!

Bridesmaid Dress from Donna Morgan

IMG_0233
In October, I had the pleasure of being my best friend’s maid of honour. She lives in PEI and her other bridesmaid in New Brunswick. Since we were in difference provinces, we were assigned different colours for each of our dresses and we were allowed to pick our own style.

My colour was mint and I ended up finding a beautiful silk chiffon one at Donna Morgan. I ordered it online and it came quickly in a beautifully packaged box. One thing to be careful about in international orders (especially clothing) is any potential custom fees. Mine ended up being an additional $40 on top of what I already paid for the dress (including shipping).

I didn’t mind though because the dress was perfect. The different colours and textures of each of the girl’s dresses looked stunning together.

Commuting in Style

style

I’ve always loved the idea of black accessories because I find them classic and timeless. Recently, I’ve been obsessed with the textured faux-leather black and gold combinations that seem to be in.

When I bought my Macbook I decided to get the slimmest stylish bag I could find to carry it in. The 13″ Marc Jacobs case was perfect. I liked that it came with a longer strap so that I could carry it like a cross-body bag. Therefore, making commutes much easier and safer.

I was in desparate need of a purse so I purchased the GUESS black carry-all in black. This also came with a cross-body strap which was perfect and enough pockets for phones, make-up and other things ladies put in purses.

Pizza Socks

IMG_5801
I’d say I pretty much won Yankee Swap this year because I ended up with these fabulous Pizza socks from Living Royal.

IMG_5807
Don’t they look delicious enough to eat?

Instagram “Like” Necklace

IMG_9379I saw this adorable necklace the last time I ordered on Photojojo and had been thinking about it ever since. Then one day I gave in and impulsively ordered it.

IMG_9356IMG_9360I love their silly branding of always sending a dinosaur with every package. They even tell you that on the box. Not entirely sure why a little necklace needed a big box though.

IMG_9357IMG_9361The charm itself is a lot bigger than I thought it was in real life and sits on a shiny silver-plated chain. It’s a Photojojo exclusive made by modern jewellery company, Plastique.

IMG_9389It’s been a lovely accessory and conversation starter when meeting new people last week at CMW!
