I Went Rock Climbing and I Liked It

On Friday, I took the Introductory Climbing Lesson at Basecamp. The package came with 2 weeks of unlimited climbing and I already went back on Thanksgiving Monday.

I don’t do a lot of exercises or physical activity, but I surprisingly enjoyed it. It was challenging, and I definitely felt a bit of pain the next day. However, I’m already excited to go back!

It’s fun, and goals seem measurable. I felt like I lost a lot of anxious energy in the process and felt certain rushes that were a bit addictive. I was frightened to jump off an auto-belay (still am a bit) but the rush of falling on it is alluring.

I’m going to keep going when I can within the two weeks, but I can totally see myself continuing and buying my own gear. Maybe eventually I can lead climb and do real mountains!

SNES Classic Mini

I loved the original Super Nintendo, so I was super excited about the SNES Classic mini. I was lucky enough to get in on a Best Buy pre-order, so I didn’t have to line-up on release date.

It comes pre-loaded with 21 games including the never-before released game Starfox 2.

It’s so small and cute. I placed it beside my Mimikyu and Sailormoon plushies for size comparison.

It fits right into the palm of my hand.

It took me a second to find where to plug controllers. A flap at the front opens up to reveal the slots.

You can easily toggle between the 21 games and any save states. Let’s be real, to play like the old days, there will be no save stating!

I already unlocked Starfox 2 by beating the first level of Starfox (it’s harder than I remember). Now to continue reliving the past and playing through all 21 games!

Pikachu PJs

I was always too scared to use Aliexpress until recently. I couldn’t resist these adorable Pikachu pajamas. The only downside is things usually take over a month to get to me, but the prices are so low!

What are your fab online finds?

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation

I received Make Up For Ever’s Ultra HD Foundation for review from Glam Sense.

I was surprised they actually sent me the full-sized amount. I did a total guess on selecting a colour swatch, but I got lucky and the colour I chose did blend well into my skin, even though it seemed light at first.

I found the foundation itself confusingly watery on the first pump. I even gave it hundreds of shakes, but the consistency remained pretty much the same. I think it’s supposed to be thin and liquidy.

When I actually applied it to my face, it spread well and didn’t require too much to cover all the redness on the face. I also didn’t feel like I was wearing foundation at all. Perhaps the watery texture is what helps it feel so light. Due to the light nature, I think at most it is a medium coverage, so if your face has more than just minor imperfections, I probably wouldn’t recommend it.

Considering how little product I need for my whole face, the bottle will last me a while. I would consider purchasing again as it goes on light but lasted me all day while working an award show.

Pikachu Tamagotchi Pin

Ever since I went to the Pin & Patch Show, I’ve been really into looking at pin artists online. One of these artists is @reallybigdill who has a lot of adorable Pokémon pin crossovers.

I couldn’t resist this adorable Pikachu Tamagotchi pin. I almost wish it was a real virtual pet!

Fenty Trophy Wife Highlighter

Despite the hefty pricetag, I couldn’t resist the Fenty Beauty hype. The Trophy Wife Killawat highlighter is so beautiful and alluring.

The packaging is minimalistic but stands out with its rough edges.

What I like about the gold Trophy Wife highlighter is that it’s multi-purpose. It can go anywhere that needs sparkle, not just your cheeks.

I love using it as eyeshadow. It brightens up my eyes. On my cheeks, it gives me a sparkly natural glow since my skin tone is already yellow. I like adding a little dab on my lips, to give it some dimension.

If you’re having a night on the town, it beautifully illuminates under the lights when you’re in a dimly lit place.

A little goes a long way, so even though it costs $34, it’ll last a long time and through many looks!
