Last week, it was super cold so I stocked up on a whole bunch of groceries. The only problem was I didn’t buy anything “normal” people buy.
First I cooked calamari
Then Octopus
And lastly, Nash made me a surprise dinner!
I started Vlogging again and I will be continuing (just not daily). My life isn’t interesting enough for me to have adventures everyday. I’ll try my hardest to make them somewhat regular and do a round-up after every three. So here are 3 for now!
See my clusterphobic Christmas tree and what’s in the first Birchbox Canada!
Tour my new apartment!
Relive Rich Aucoin’s NYE show and we also try the chocolate beer.
This weekend was Buffer Festival in Toronto, the city’s first ever Youtube film festival. Personally, I haven’t participated in the Youtube scene until recently, but when I found out Chris Pirillo would be in Toronto I jumped on the chance to meet him.
I actually found Chris originally on Twitter in the social network’s early days. He was a recommended follow (and he followed me back!). I checked out his social feeds and was enticed by his wacky personality and had been watching his videos ever since.

After the panel, we met in the meetup room at the Metro Convention Centre and he signed my GoPro. I figured that would be the most appropriate since he was the one who had influenced me to vlog in the first place. The real fun started when the planned meetup was over and a few of us gathered together to have lunch with Chris! We all had different stories of how we discovered his videos. It was fascinating to learn how his videos had touched all of our lives in some way. He actually shared this in his vlog (life goal achieved)!
Through Chris I learnt that when creating content (Youtube or elsewhere), to always be myself. He’s made a living through just being himself and I hope that’s something I can achieve too, to just do what I love.
Of course, here’s my vlog of the day:
On Monday, the weather was still nice so we headed up to the Halton Hills Conservation areas and hiked in a few of the parks. Check out my Vlog of the adventure and photos below.

It’s time for another Loot Crate unboxing! This week’s theme was CAKE in celebration of Loot Crate’s 1 year anniversary.
I don’t watch Walking Dead but my character in these Funko blind boxes is super adorable. I’m sure you fans out there can recognize who she is.
It’s not a Loot Crate without some Loot Crate stickers.
I am now a scientist in Portal’s Aperture Laboratories with this lanyard, tattoo and bracelet.
My favourite item from this month is this caffeine molecule T-shirt! They accidentally sent me a medium, but that’s okay. It would actually make a great gift for Nash who’s been sleepless with work. Also in the box was a $5 coupon for more shirts at Shirt Woot, so I can go order some more cool novelty tees. I’ve been browsing through their catalogue and I kind of want EVERYTHING.
A birthday party has to have some candy of course. I wish they included like 10 more packages because I ate it in two seconds.

The latest instalment of my vlogs features Maylee Todd’s performance during Summerworks festival.
As I mentioned in my previous post, I want to start document some of my adventures in video format. I’m going to do this Vlog style, so it isn’t going to be anything fancy and time consuming. Straight cuts of brief moments in hope to share some of the more interesting tidbits of life with you.
