Puyo Puyo Tetris

I’m addicted to Puyo Puyo Tetris lately! It’s a mix of both games and new modes. It’s crazy how fun both classic games still are like a million years later.

I like the online competitive mode but whenever I get paired up with someone from Japan the match is rather frightening! There are some games where I can survive a long time and win, others that I’ll lose in less than 30 seconds. I guess I have to sharpen my skills more.

Propeller Coffee Dark Roast

Propeller is super close to where I live, so it’s probably going to be my go-to for beans when I am lazy. Their coffees are award winning and deservedly so.

The dark roast is bold but has the nice profile of chocolate & caramel, making it go down super easy.

Mackage Crossbody Bag

I needed a small purse for parties and weddings, so I recently bought one from Mackage that I’m so in love with that I just had to share it. It’s the ZOEY-ST Dual Mini studded crossbody bag. My favourite part is that it is secured by an arrow that is more than just a decoration.

Opening up the bag also reveals plenty of storage space for cards, phones and even a handy little mirror!

I love the studs and chains. It adds an edgy but classic feel.

I also happened to be buying the bag when there was a promotion going on and I got a free passport holder.

I love my new grown-up accessories.  I’ve been investing more lately into fashion pieces that I really love instead of cheap disposable things. This bag for sure will be used to death!

nomakenolife- April 2017

I am obsessed with Asian products lately so I couldn’t resist trying a subscription of Japanese box nomakenolife. This month I received a box of 5 full sized must-have skin care products.

This Shiseido Senka Perfect Whip face wash I use daily. It’s gentle and a little bit turns into a soft lather.

The Derizum moisturizer has 15 types of amino acids, 8 ceramides and more and made my skin feel super soft, like a baby’s butt. Perhaps that’s why there is a photo of a baby on it. I don’t know.

Dot Free’s Deep Clay Mask was also gentle on my skin. It wasn’t drying and made my skin feel firmer.

Menturm’s Lip Dress was a lovely neutral lip balm that has SPF 12 sun protection. My lips feel soft when I use this.

The most mysterious item in the box was this melon gel thing. It is an all-in-one gel that functions as a toner, moisturizer, essence and make-up base. It’s kind of eerie because it looks like jello and when you scoop some out, the next day it looks like perfect jello again. I like to wear it under my make-up.

All these products I have implemented into my life. At around $30 (CAD)/month, it is a bit pricey but I can’t wait to see what I get for May!

Radiant Baby w/ No Frills @ The Baby G

I saw Radiant Baby on Tuesday at the Baby G. Check out Ride the Tempo for the full photo gallery.

Influenster: Clarins Hydra-Essentiel

I recently received the Clarins Hydra-Essentiel VoxBox from Influenster.

The sample came in a tube, instead of the jar that it normally comes in. This makes for a good little moisturizer on the go. The only thing is I’d squirt too much occasionally and then couldn’t put it back. I enjoyed it because it was light and silky, not oily at all.

I enjoyed the product itself because it was light and silky, not oily at all. It worked nicely under my makeup and kept my skin moisturized all day.

Getting into Trebble

I recently was asked to test out Trebble.fm, a service that provides interactive radio to bloggers. At the moment, it is embeded on the bottom of Ride the Tempo and you can also stream it on the standalone player here.

I miss the days when ex.fm (now dead), provided automatic streaming to the tracks we posted on the blog, but Trebble seems like a strong contender in this department. All the tracks are added manually, but with a Chrome Plugin compatible with most music services, it is easy.

It’s still in beta, so there are some bugs but try it out and give a listen to some tunes I’ve personally curated.

Topbox – April 2017

Last month, I became a Topbox subscriber because it is relatively inexpensive at $12/month with free shipping. I opted for the eco-friendly version that came in a pouch instead of a box. It’s also a good size for community mailboxes.

I received 4 main items and two bonuses that weren’t announced as part of the box.

One of the extras was this Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb. Can’t wait to add this into my pile of daily masks.

I usually don’t like receiving hair products in my cosmetic subscriptions because I find they are the least exciting thing but this dry shampoo by Cake I really enjoyed. It doesn’t leave a gross white residue and it also smelled delicious. It brought life to my greasy hair many times.

I already have a Too Faced Benefit Mascara in my collection but it’s a good one to have a back up for!

This Bliss Energizing Vitamin C Day cream makes my skin feel super smooth without feeling greasy. There’s a citrusy tinge. I almost wish there was more of it!

Lastly there was a Laritzy lip pencil in Moonlit Mauve. Laritzy is a company that prides itself in being cruelty-free. The pencil is infused with plan oils and it seems possible to just wear it on it’s own without any lip stick. Since it’s not technically a liner, I think this is allowed!

I liked all the April TopBox samples so I think I’ll continue being a subscriber. My make up collection is getting somewhat ridiculous but a girls’ gotta have some kind of vice!

Let's race 🏁🎮🚗

A post shared by Tiana Feng (@tianafeng) on

I’m excited to delve into Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch! I bought a pro-controller and the steering wheel thing for the Joy-Cons. They even threw in a pair of Mario socks for free.

Now to sharpen my skills before racing people.
