I was always too scared to use Aliexpress until recently. I couldn’t resist these adorable Pikachu pajamas. The only downside is things usually take over a month to get to me, but the prices are so low!

I received Make Up For Ever’s Ultra HD Foundation for review from Glam Sense.

I was surprised they actually sent me the full-sized amount. I did a total guess on selecting a colour swatch, but I got lucky and the colour I chose did blend well into my skin, even though it seemed light at first.

I found the foundation itself confusingly watery on the first pump. I even gave it hundreds of shakes, but the consistency remained pretty much the same. I think it’s supposed to be thin and liquidy.
When I actually applied it to my face, it spread well and didn’t require too much to cover all the redness on the face. I also didn’t feel like I was wearing foundation at all. Perhaps the watery texture is what helps it feel so light. Due to the light nature, I think at most it is a medium coverage, so if your face has more than just minor imperfections, I probably wouldn’t recommend it.
Considering how little product I need for my whole face, the bottle will last me a while. I would consider purchasing again as it goes on light but lasted me all day while working an award show.

Ever since I went to the Pin & Patch Show, I’ve been really into looking at pin artists online. One of these artists is @reallybigdill who has a lot of adorable Pokémon pin crossovers.
I couldn’t resist this adorable Pikachu Tamagotchi pin. I almost wish it was a real virtual pet!

Despite the hefty pricetag, I couldn’t resist the Fenty Beauty hype. The Trophy Wife Killawat highlighter is so beautiful and alluring.

The packaging is minimalistic but stands out with its rough edges.

What I like about the gold Trophy Wife highlighter is that it’s multi-purpose. It can go anywhere that needs sparkle, not just your cheeks.
I love using it as eyeshadow. It brightens up my eyes. On my cheeks, it gives me a sparkly natural glow since my skin tone is already yellow. I like adding a little dab on my lips, to give it some dimension.

If you’re having a night on the town, it beautifully illuminates under the lights when you’re in a dimly lit place.
A little goes a long way, so even though it costs $34, it’ll last a long time and through many looks!

I don’t know if it’s like the drastically changing season here or something, but I’m feeling a bit down, like I need to hibernate for a while. Maybe I exhausted a lot of energy lately and it’s catching up to me.
Life’s not always peachy and I’m feeling a bit anxious about many things but I’m also excited (but starting to stress about all the things I need to do) about my future wedding. There are many days where I feel the genuine peaks of happiness but then an occasional wave of depression hits and I feel exhausted.
Whatever it is, this autumn anxiety is real and I want to acknowledge it. I know I have been a bit absent from this blog after I broke my streak, but I think those breaks were needed. I don’t necessarily owe anyone an explanation why I haven’t been blogging that much, but I want to continue to acknowledge my mental illness if it makes someone out there feel less alone. 7 years ago, I made a conscious effort to deal with GAD unmedicated and I don’t regret it but some days are hard.

I have a new obsession with highlighters and I heard Glossier’s Haloscope was a must-have, so I picked it up in the lightest colour: Moonstone. The stick has two parts, an outer halo infused with crystals and a middle that is moisturizing.

I thought it would be more sparkly because of the crystals, but it actually provides a very natural dewy glow. It’s nice as a daily highlighter for work or going out.

I loved ordering from Glossier (it was my first time). They threw in a bubble bag and cute stickers!

I updated my phone to iOS 11 and my iTunes to the latest version and Apple Music finally has social features. It’s a little late, but better than never. Find me at @tianafeng, where I plan to put a lot of cool playlists very soon. I want to see what you listen to too. Let’s discover music together.

I discovered the existence of James Cheese Back Ribs from a cheese-filled video from BlogTo on Facebook. I had been thinking about it ever since, so I finally hit it up with my cousin. Of course, we couldn’t go to the place without ordering the signature platter with corn, omelet, sweet potato, veggies with ribs and cheese on a hot platter. There was the option of mild, spicy and super spicy and we chose the middle.
Of course, we had to film our own cheese pulling video (after some instruction from a staff member):
The ribs had a heat, but it went really well with the creamy, pan toasted cheese. It might sound weird stretching mozzarella across ribs, but now I feel like I can’t eat ribs any other way. I didn’t care much for the other sides in the platter, but we figured out we could dip it all in the rib sauce and leftover cheese, so it was all eaten.

There were 3 of us, so we thought a few small appetizers would please our stomachs. The Signature Fried Corn Squid had a flavourful chili mayo and I enjoyed the sweetness in the corn batter.

We also couldn’t resist something called Mini Korean McRibs, which was kind of like an imitation of its namesake on a fluffy steamed bun.
The whole meal was delicious and it’s worth the visit for the cheese ribs alone.

Last week, my sister and I hit up Border MX’s new location in Streetsville. There was a bachelorette party celebrating that night with a lot of fancy drinks so I had to order one of my own Bulldog.

To start we shared a ceviche tosta. The fish was fresh and flavourful on top a crunchy chip.

I also ordered some guacomole which was unfortunately too mushy. I like my guacomole thick. I felt like they over blended the avocado or something and it was a bit watery.

Their specialty was Baja Fish tacos which they claimed were the “Best in Mississauga”. While I thought the fish was nicely cooked, there was an off-putting bitter taste. We were trying to figure out what was bitter and I think it might’ve been the cabbage, like they cut too close to the stem. I was disappointed, as it definitely doesn’t live up to the name (unless they are the only Baja fish taco in Mississauga).
Overall, I don’t know if I would come back for the food, but it is a great place to have drinks!

Another addition to my Pokemon x Tonymoly collection is this adorable liquid blush. Like the cover cushion, it also has a Pokéball applicator. However, I prefer to use my fingers so that I don’t waste half the product on the sponge.
I bought the darkest colour, and don’t need too much for the effect. It has a light smell that is kind of like cherries. It’s buildable, so I can make myself a Pikachu if I really want.
I love how all these products have great packaging and actually work!
