I love pulled pork. It’s one of those things I’ll try every time I see it on a menu in a restaurant I haven’t been in. Yesterday, I decided to attempt it to make it myself in a slow cooker and it turned out pretty delicious!
Lost In the Apple Store
Last week was the first time I bought something directly from the Apple Store. Sure I own Apple products: the iPad, countless iPods but I was lucky enough to have been gifted them or have gone to Future Shop.
It was Black Friday and I wanted to buy my sister a Nano and perhaps Apple TV for the parents. However, I felt quite lost and confused. Not to mention clusterphobic.
Cheeseburger Soup Trial!
I was intrigued by this Cheeseburger Soup Recipe I had found through Pinterest so I decided to try it this weekend with my boyfriend.
It was pretty delicious. The soup tasted like a variation of cream of potato (well it is a variation), but it left you with an aftertaste of a cheeseburger. The concept was interesting. We didn’t follow all the ingredients exactly, but it still turned out tasty.
We pretty much doubled some of the recommended ingredients including the beef. We also used slightly more potato, cheese and sour cream. The cheese we used was not Velveeta, we opted to use a real block of mild cheddar. I didn’t have any celery and carrots in the house so we did without those.
My little sister is a picky eater at times but she had multiple bowls of it! It’s a definite must try if you are as fascinated by it as I was. Next time I’d definitely add some bacon. Bacon Cheeseburger Soup sounds even better does it not?
Pinterest: Tasty Visual Addiction

I’ve recently become quite addicted to the visual pleasures that make up new social networking site Pinterest. You might ask.. “WTF.. isn’t it just like Tumblr?”. The truth is, it’s not.
The Evolution of Useful Things
I love reading and I tend to read a lot of non-fiction among fiction. I also have a fascination with cognitive science, the human mind and why things happen. So naturally when I stumbled on Henry Petroski’s The Evolution of Useful Things it was quite intriguing.
The book dove into the fascinating world of how normal household items became the way they are today. He talked about such things as forks, pins, paper clips and zippers which we don’t normally think much about. There’s even parts on pop cans and the wrapper for your McDonald hamburgers.
Wreck This Journal #5

After doing the page where I had to bring the book to the shower with me, the book got pretty wrecked. I think that sort of started me wanting to ruin it more, since it already is. I’m finally breaking out of that shell of not wanting to ruin the book. Now I can’t wait to see what is left of it when it is all over.

Pig Rockets For iPad Review
Here’s another review of a game I have beaten (so I can finally free up some space on my 16GB iPad). I originally downloaded this game via one of those daily “free app” apps. Currently Pig Rockets is $1.99 in the App store. It works on all iOS devices.
The game is kind of a mixture between Tetris and a Tower Defense game. The objective of the game is to use blocks (which are in the form of Tetris pieces) to prevent pigs from hitting your house/property. Whenever a pig hits a brick, it disappears and turns into bacon which you can use to save up for helpful power-ups in the store. You unlock new levels by lasting a certain amount of waves on the previous one.
Know Your Online Character
You probably read a lot of different articles that talk about the importance of content in gaining followers but nobody really talks about the importance of character and personality. I find the people I remember and engage with the most over social networks are those with amiable personalities. The tweets that were retweeted the most on my own feed are strangely also my own random thoughts or life happenings. Sure content is important, but knowing your online character goes a long way. It all really comes down to one question: What do you want to be known for?
