I did the 2016 Best 9 thing for Instagram and all my most liked photos seem to be rather solitary activities like listening to vinyl, the dog, landscape and of course selfies. Only 2/9 are concert related photos which was super surprising!
I’ve had an eventful 2016 and I hope 2017 will be even better!
Holiday potlucks are where I bring my Pinterest boards to life. I found an easy recipe for some Pizza Muffins from The Recipe Rebel and tested it out!
This recipe doesn’t require too many ingredients. I picked up a fancy jar of salsa, pepperoni, mozzarella, peppers and wonton wrappers. You can substitute the cheese, meat and vegetables for anything you want. Wonton wrappers are easy to find in the frozen section of an Asian grocery store and some Loblaws.
The sauce, vegetables and meat are mixed together in a bowl. Everything needs to be cut up into tiny pieces or there will be some chunky bites and be hard to fill.
In an oiled muffin pan, one wonton wrapper is laid at the bottom of each hole. Then a layer of sauce. Then another wonton wrapper in a different angle. And then another layer of sauce. It is then topped off with cheese and then baked in the oven at 350 degrees Farenheit.
The recipe I used said 15 minutes was enough but I found my wontons weren’t crunchy when I took it out, so I left them in for 20 minutes.
They are best served fresh out of the oven but do reheat ok the next day. It just won’t be as crunchy!
These are so easy it makes the best pizza snack because who doesn’t like pizza!

Recently, Facebook announced HTML 5 games that you can play with your friends in Messengser.
When you are playing with one person the competition is friendly.
However, it can get intense in a group chat! It is definitely a bit more heated. I only hope that they will turn off notifications every time someone plays a game. I only want to know if you beat me!
Now time to play some word games.
Dollarama has a wide variety of pet stuff including some Christmas costumes! Teddy became a reindeer without breaking the bank. The only con is they only have one size but we managed to squeeze both parts through his giant head.
How does he look?
Last week, I went to Fabbrica in North York with my team at work. It is one of Mark McEwan’s restaurants and located right across the McEwan grocery store in North York.
We started with some appetizers including some fries with truffle and grana padano cheese. They were so addictive! We also had some warm olives (which were some of the best I’ve had) and their signature meatballs. I forgot to take a photo of these because we ate them too fast.
To drink, I tried their Old Fashion. As you know, I like to try this on every menu. Theirs was made out of Bullet Bourbon, house made Heavnly Cream syrup and tiki bitters. They did this classic well.
As my main I ordered a strip steak salad with goat cheese, beats, and an apple pecan dressing. I loved the combination of flavours and textures and my steak was cooked to a beautiful medium rare (just how I like it).
For dessert, I had a Chocolate Torta, a mix between a sponge and a mousse cake that was so good I didn’t even offer a bite to anybody.
I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quality place to wine and dine!
After I clocked out of work on Friday, my weekend was pretty insane. So here are some random social snapshots!

The next day I was on a team live tweeting the Canadian Folk Music Awards. We had some awesome feedback.
My teammate and I found some fancy chairs to sit in.
Then I went for dinner with grandma and her nursing home had these cute Christmas displays.

December can be a hard month for anxiety. I’m anxious for the year to be over. I’m anxious to finish Christmas shopping. I’m anxious to spend more time with family. I’m anxious about all the goals I set for myself, and what I did and didn’t achieve.
Pulling through the last stretch, but hanging in there. I hope you all are too!
Ok, I am totally the worst for spending too much on make-up lately. I couldn’t resist grabbing some of Sephora’s holiday kits on Cyber Monday. Plus, they had 4 free sample bags to choose from with purchases over $25 (but let’s be real everything at Sephora is more than $25).
I grabbed The Best Bite Redux, a collection of 4 lip crayons and Smash Box’s Try It Kit. They were both awesome deals with products worth more than the set cost. Plus, I got I chose the Sephora Day-of-Soirée Swag Sample Bag which had perfumes, masks and creams for staying young!
